Independence day celebrated in Katarivaripalem
Independence day wascelebrated grandly by Jeeyar Gurukulam students in Katarivaripalem. The students sang Vandematharam and National Anthem after the hoisting of the flag. India flags were distributed to all students. After the drill by students, the principal addressed the students and advised them to work hard and become good citizens. The students formed pyramids, sang patriotic songs and danced celebrating the occasion. The program concluded with distribution of sweets.

10th Results in Jeeyar Gurukulams
We are proud to announce that our Allampally, Katavaripalem and Beersaipeta students performed extremely well in SSC/ Xth grade and passed with flying colors in Board examinations for the academic year 2014-2015. This was only possible with your support and encouragement. We thank all the teachers, staff, parent volunteers for contributing their valuable time and effort in moulding our students into model citizens of the country. We would also like to thank the donors, supporters and well-wishers. Teachers Training Program Started on 15-05-2015
Teachers from Allampalli , Beersaipeta, Katarivaripalem Tribal schools and NethraVidyalaya arrived at JIVA campus for Teacher training camp which started today. The training classes will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day.
Teachers Volunteer in Allampally and Birsaipeta
Our Yuva Vikas members (govt teachers) M.Rajender Reddy & Venugopalachary visited JEEYAR GURUKULAMS Allampally and Beersaipet branches on 14th and 15th of March. They conducted tests from 3rd class to 10th class in Maths, English and Telugu. For 10th class they checked all the pre -final papers. They prepared a brief report on the standards of each and every class and individual students too which help to decide on what steps should to be taken to improve the standards of the students in the next academic years. They also promised to visit our schools every month. This is their 3rd visit to the schools.
School Buildings Expansion Project 2014- 2015
To accommodate more students and provide better facilities, new classrooms are being constructed. In Allampally school,12 classrooms, in Beersaipet 3 classrooms and in Katarivari palem 10 classrooms are being constructed. In 2015, new dining hall, a kitchen and 4 more classrooms construction in Birsaipeta will be undertaken.
Care on Wheels Project 2013-2014
Accomplishments Using the Chase grant, VT Seva and JET (S) made a strong impact in the lives of thousands of underprivileged – Surveyed 100 gudems with 3,365 families and a population of 14,674 people (4,904 children, 4,867 women and 4,903 men). In the survey conducted, we found an astonishing fact that 6,246 were illiterates (42.5% of the population is illiterate). Recruited and empowered 26 tribal facilitators (local enthusiastic youth) with structured training and resources (bicycles, educational material, mikes & speakers, cameras) to own and develop their gudems. The facilitators counseled and admitted 227 school drop outs back in the schools. 47 of them were admitted into ‘schools for tribals’ supported by VT Seva in Allampalli (15 students) and Beersaipeta (32 students) areas. They are providing basic education to 788 children and 581 adult illiterates through night schools. Improved facilities of 3 schools (945 students) by procuring computers, lab equipment, educational material, library books and. Kitchen upgrades still in progress. Holistic development of 100 gudems of Adilabad district and making each gudem an ‘Adarsa Gramam’ (Role Model Village). This initiative is in-progress even after Chase grant is completely used. The aim is to make it scalable all over the state. Conducted 2 medical camps to improve health and hygiene. Provided comprehensive education on rights of tribals and government ‘Panchayath Raj’ system with a collaborative approach of engaging public officials from Tribal Welfare Department, Forest Department and Principal Secretary (Ms. Lakshmi Parthasarathi, IAS) to the state government. Provided education and awareness to the tribal communities to give up vices such as chewing tobacco.
Building Bridges Project – 2013-2014
In the thick forests, rains make the commute a nightware. Innumerable streams with gushing water make travel from one place to another very difficult. As a result, students are unable to come to schools. To alleviate this problem, Vikasa Tarangini took the first step in building 3 bridges in 2013-14 in Allampally. VT coordinated with the government and with the help of welfare schemes became instrumental in the construction of bridges.
Building School Compound Wall Project 2009
Allampally is a big school built in 5 acres of land. A compound wall was required for the security of kids. Building a compound wall around the school was a challenge due to lack of sufficient funds. Incessant heavy rains proved to be another major hurdle to complete the construction. In 2009, the compound wall was built incurring the cost of approximately 7 lakhs.
