FOUNDER

About Us

Nestled amid the enchanting landscapes of the Adilabad and Nirmal districts in Telangana, Jeeyar Gurukuls stands as a beacon of hope and progress for the local Adivasi communities, especially the, Gond, Kolams, Pardhan, Nayakapu, Nethakani, Lambadis, Andh, Marathi and Koya tribes. Our school’s journey has been one of transformation, as we have turned a once-neglected region into a vibrant centre of learning and empowerment.

A Tale of Resilience and Progress:

The northern tip of Telangana boasts of mesmerizing forests and breathtaking waterfalls, yet this land of natural beauty faced its share of challenges. The region, once marked by Naxal activities, witnessed historic encounters in the 1980s. The aftermath of these events left the area underdeveloped and deprived of opportunities.

However, our school has been a catalyst for change, channelling the spirit of resilience and determination among the Adivasi communities. As the title on a newspaper once proclaimed, “Hands once holding guns are holding pens.” The media captured the transformative journey of our schools, where the focus shifted from conflict to education, nurturing generations of young minds.

Empowering through Education:

Today, the vibrant echoes of learning reverberate within our school’s walls. What once seemed like an impossible dream has become a reality – hundreds of little children now fill our classrooms, their hearts brimming with hope and curiosity.

At Jeeyar Gurukuls, we firmly believe that education is the key to unlocking potential and breaking the chains of poverty. Our mission is to empower our students with the knowledge, skills, and values that will propel them towards a brighter future. We blend modern education with a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of our Adivasi communities, creating a harmonious blend of tradition and progress.

A Holistic Approach:

Beyond academics, our school emphasizes the holistic development of each child. Our nurturing environment encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a spirit of inquiry. From chanting slokas to exploring the wonders of science and literature, our students embrace a well-rounded education that prepares them to face the challenges of the ever-changing world.

Community Support and Collaboration:

The success of Gurukuls would not have been possible without the unwavering support of the local community. Parents, elders, and community members actively participate in our journey, fostering a strong bond between the school and the society it serves.

Join Our Journey:

We invite you to be a part of this remarkable journey of transformation and growth. Together, let’s create a future where young hearts are filled with hope, dreams, and the confidence to conquer the world.

At Gurukuls, knowledge meets empowerment, and every child’s potential find wings to soar high!

What Villagers and Officials Say

My name is Bhamam Matial. I speak Mathura, a scriptless language. I am studying in 9th grade. I am Mangalsingh thanda – tribal settlement. I am sturying here from primary school. Before joining this school, we used to herd cattle and work as daily labor. I would like to reach greater height in my life and I will never forget this school. Our teachers are staying with us and providing excellent guidance. My goal is to become a teacher and pass on the knowledge to students.

Bhamam Matial,

Graduated Student, Jeeyar Gurukulam

The toilets for children are so good. We are not able to provide like this even in our city hostels… I wish we brought some of our teachers to witness this function and see how well disciplined these children are and how well they are chanting the slokas and prayer songs.

District Collector
